Ghana receives second batch of AstraZeneca Vaccines

Ghana has received 350,000 AstraZeneca covid vaccines today Friday, 7th May,2021.

The vaccines arrived from Dr.Congo through Istanbul on a Turkish airline.

The vaccines which were supposed to arrive on Tuesday, 4th May,2021 were delayed of which President Akuffo Addo got worried.

The President in his May Day address cited international vaccine politics as reasons for the delay.

The arrival of the vaccines will help continue with the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme.
