Veteran comedian, Kweku Sintim, who is popularly known as KSM has reacted sarcastically to the blame game being played by the government.
KSM was reacting to a statement made by John Kumah, the Member of Parliament(MP) for Ejisu and an active member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
Mr. Kumah, who is the deputy Finance Minister designate, speaking on Metro Tv’s ‘Good evening Ghana’, blamed the then John Mahama’s administration for the country’s woes in the energy sector.
Mr. Kumah claims the taxes that has affected fuel prices is as a result of some ‘absurd’ contracts the National Democratic Congress (NDC) made when in power.
“Taxes on energy are John Mahama’s fault but Akufo-Addo is fixing it” – John Kumah.
In reacting to this, KSM sarcastically said, the John Mahama administration is responsible for the delay in the second coming of Jesus Christ.
In a tweet, he said with laughing emojis. “Even the world climate change is Mahama’s fault. He is even responsible for the delayed 2nd coming of Christ.”
Within the last four days, Ghanaians have been expressing their anger and worries on social media over the high cost of living in the country and what they call ‘poor goevernance’. Some are also complaining about the unstable energy supply and also the high data and call charges due to the National Health Insurance Levy by the government.
These are some of the reasons why some Ghanaians have joined hands to embark on the Fixthecountry campaign.
