The Mogadishu Bombing Which Killed 17 People and Injured 28 People

On this day, 22nd July 2019, a car heavily loaded with bombs exploded at a checkpoint on the same road as the city’s airport, exploded on the road of Aden Adde International Airport and near the Afrin Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia. It resulted in the killings of 17 persons and injuring 28 others. That was not enough, some persons were also in critical condition as a result from the explosion.

Witnesses at the scene indicated the explosions knocked them off on their feet damaging as well as many buildings. This attack and an attack which occurred on 24th July, 2019 that killed the Mayor of Mogadishu, the Martyr Mayor Abdirahman Omar Osman, others were wantonly condemned by many countries.
